Exams. They are upon us.
Finals week has come and gone for many college students all across the country, but here at Texas A&M they are about to begin.
Now that I’m a semester deep into college, I finally ~somewhat~ understand how college classes and exams work, so I’m surprisingly not too stressed about finals next week! It also helps that 3/5 of my exams are online, so I only have to really study for 2.
I’ve put together a list of tips and must-haves for getting through finals week without deciding to drop out of college!
It’s really, really easy to just load up on coffee or RedBull and neglect getting your daily H2O, but when you are dehydrated, your brain does not perform at its optimal level meaning that it takes longer to learn and retain information. I try to always have a water bottle on me and also really enjoy adding strawberries, limes, blueberries, and mint to make it extra tasty!
Using the S’well Water Bottle is a really cute way to stay hydrated! I love how chic they are!
Listen to non-lyric music
I discovered a Spotify playlist last semester called “Deep Focus” that really got me in the zone for studying. You should definitely check it out. I’ve found that listening to music with words in it really distracts me from what I need need need to be focusing on. Instead of your favorite Top 40 playlist, opt for some quiet ambience music to keep you focused!
Keep it comfy
When you’re powering through a 6 hour study sesh in the packed library, you’re gonna want to be as comfortable as possible. Nothing is worse that being distracted by jeans that are too tight or legs that are too cold. Put on your comfiest leggings (like these ones from Lululemon) and curl up in your spot in the library for the next week.
Good luck with finishing out the semester strong! I know I’ll need all the luck I can get!
